Since opening in 1968 Capilano University (formely Capilano College) has grown steadily, now enrolling about 7,000 students per year. The university serves North and West Vancouver, Howe Sound and the Sunshine Coast, with its core at the North Vancouver Campus and campuses in Sechelt and Squamish.
Capilano University offers a variety of programs, including: preparatory, academic/university studies (including Associate degrees in Arts and Sciences), career and vocational offerings. As well, the University offers four Bachelor Degree programs, in Music Therapy, Jazz Studies, Tourism Management and Business Administration.
FACILITY/SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS:
The Sportsplex on the North Vancouver campus is the site of various provincial and intramural sports, as well as aerobics and martial arts classes and weight training. An on-campus child care centre gives preference to Capilano students.
