The Renfrew campus was designed with input from many Art Institute employees and developed by Vancouver-based MCM Interiors, who won the 2006 Interior Designers Institute of BC (IDI) Award of Excellence for their work with Electronic Arts. This conveniently located building features increased library and student lounge spaces, and is specifically built to strict environmental requirements. This modern facility boasts a contemporary design incorporating traditional and electronic displays. With the relocation of the Media Arts programs from Burnaby into the new Renfrew campus, students and staff now occupy the entire building, slightly over 80,000 square feet.
